Are you someone who loves building community and creating spaces where students feel known, supported, and connected? Columbia Bible College is seeking a Commuter Director to lead and shape the experience of commuter students as they engage in campus life.
This relational, ministry-focused role is at the heart of student life. You’ll invest in students who commute to campus—mentoring student leaders, overseeing the Commuter Lounge, and creating meaningful opportunities for connection, discipleship, and belonging. Through your leadership, commuter students will experience a true “home away from home.”
What you’ll do:
- Lead and mentor the Commuter Host student team
- Plan and oversee commuter events, gatherings, and programming
- Create a welcoming, well-run Commuter Lounge environment
- Build relationships with students through presence, discipleship, and pastoral care
- Support student leadership development and spiritual growth
- Manage budgets and contribute to the Student Development team
What you bring:
- A vibrant, growing faith in Jesus and a heart for discipleship
- Strong relational and leadership skills with college-age students
- Experience mentoring or leading teams
- Organizational and administrative ability (event planning, coordination, budgeting)
- Wisdom, discernment, and care in handling student needs and conflict
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
What we offer:
- $21–$22 per hour
- Part-time (14–18 hours/week), 9-month term (August–April)
