Chris Dyck

Chris holds a Masters’ Degree in Outdoor Education from Prescott College in Arizona and is a Professional Member of the Canadian Avalanche Association. He has worked in various roles as a professional first responder for the past 20 years of his career. Currently, Chris serves as a Fire Department Captain for the community of Cultus Lake and heads the Rescue Swimmer/Boat Rescue Crew. In the winter, Chris serves as the Director of the professional ski patrol department at Sasquatch Resort and the Avalanche Forecaster and Control Specialist keeping the skiing public safe. These active-duty jobs and specialties keep Chris current in his teaching and mentorship of the Emergency Rescue Technician candidates at Columbia.
