5 Reasons CBC Is More Important than Ever
It’s incredibly inspiring to watch students lean into their faith and seek to launch their lives in ways that glorify God. Together, we are intentionally and deeply investing in developing the next generation of wholehearted followers of Jesus.
Our heartbeat is for every CBC student to grow in four ways:
- Spiritual vibrancy grounded in the unchanging Word of God.
- Christlike character and resiliency.
- Rooted in community—including and especially in the local church.
- Passion for serving wherever they go and whatever they do.
Lives are being transformed for a lifetime. Here are five reasons why CBC is more important than ever.
1. Canada’s Spiritual Future
Investing in the next generation and developing future leaders and disciples is critical to see revival in the Church and spiritual awakening in Canada and beyond. This is CBC’s heartbeat.
2. Strategic Window
Young adults are in an incredibly formative and strategic developmental window. For many young adults, the impact of CBC may be the difference between dropping out of faith or following and serving God wholeheartedly for decades to come.
3. Deep Grounding
At a time when many young adults are facing the very dangerous convergence of leaving high school less discipled and facing a world that is more complex and chaotic, the need for deep faith grounding in God’s Word and in mentored Christian community is more important than ever.
4. The Need for Church Leaders
With the average age of lead pastors hovering around sixty years old, CBC has a critical role to fuel the “pipeline” for future church leaders. In general, the Church is in decline and needs help that CBC can provide.
5. Our Rich and Unique Heritage
CBC’s rich heritage and evangelical Anabaptist perspective provides an important and unique contribution to the landscape of Christian higher education in Canada.
