Meal Plans
How Meal Plans work:
- If you live in residence, you’ll need to choose a meal plan (Junior Housing plan if you’re in Junior Housing, and a Jr. or Sr. Housing plan if you’re in Senior Housing).
- Meal plans work like a debit card. Money is loaded onto your 1Card. At the dining till, just swipe your card to pay for your meal or snack, and your balance will decline.
- You can add more money to your meal plan at any point in the semester.
- We expect all students to use the minimum meal plan amount on their student card. If a student requires a refund for a specific reason, they will need to submit their application to Student Development for consideration.

What are my options?
Jr. Housing – Basic
The Junior meal plan is designed for maximum flexibility. If you run out of funds after the initial minimum meal plan of $1500, you can add additional money to your card at any point in the semester. Your total spending will depend on your individual appetite, your food/beverage choices, and on whether you stock your res cupboards with snacks from the grocery store.

This meal plan encourages Sophomore hosing students to connect with the larger student community through the sharing of some meals in the dining room. Sr. Housing Meal Plan
This meal plan is designed for students living in Senior Housing who plan to cook their own meals and want to buy the occasional prepared meal or grab a coffee/snack on the way to class. Senior Housing students are encouraged to intentionally connect with the larger student community by eating in the dining room on a regular basis. Senior Housing students may also choose the Junior or Sophomore meal plans if they prefer.
