God Is at Work: You’re Shaping the Lives of Young Adults

by Lucas Driedger

I always knew that I wanted to do a gap year and come to a Bible College. Both my parents came to CBC, and that was one of the reasons I decided to come as well.

During my first year, I was introduced to the Bible in a way I had never experienced it before.

I also grew in many ways, and eventually decided to come back for a diploma and then a degree. I wanted to keep pursuing community and more knowledge of Christ and ministry. I think the most notable growth I’ve seen in my time at CBC has been in my maturity as an image bearer of Christ, and in my love for the Word. I have also grown in my desire to serve the church and see God’s kingdom come on earth.

Next year, I will be graduating with a Degree in Biblical Studies. CBC has equipped me for my calling into ministry by helping me understand how to interpret the Bible in a way that is faithful to God, and in how to lead others with humility the way Jesus would have led. I also have a better understanding of the importance of knowing about God through the Bible, in a world where less and less people truly know Him.

I would like to thank CBC’s partners and supporters for their generosity over the years. And I also want to encourage them. God is at work at CBC, shaping the lives of young adults and drawing them into his ministry—a ministry that is already at work in the world. There is a generation of young people rising up to serve the church, and we need your support as we step into ministry through prayer, finances, and opportunities.

Your generosity helps students like Lucas explore their calling through Christ-centred education. Would you consider a year-end gift to CBC? A generous CBC supporter has offered to match the first $40,000 in gifts, dollar for dollar—doubling the impact of every donation given before April 30.
