PSYC 202 Research Methods

Our Research Methods course introduces the procedures used in social science research along with the logic underlying them. Experimental, correlational and observational approaches are considered. Topics include strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to research, the formulation of testable questions, the control of extraneous influences and the drawing of valid conclusions from empirical evidence. Students gain hands-on experience evaluating research and conducting and writing up several small research projects.
