About this course
This course introduces students to the practice of biblical interpretation known under the more formal title Hermeneutics. The course assists students through the steps in the exegetical process exploring issues such as historical and cultural background, grammar, literary features, and genre in order to understand the message of the text to its first readers and how it can speak cross-culturally to contemporary readers.
Notes: 3 credits, 1 in Fall, 1 in Winter
Prerequisites: RELS 101 OT Survey, RELS 102 NT Survey, and 3 hours of a 100 Level Bible Elective
