Allison Janzen
Academic Support Supervisor
Allison loves teaching and passing on new skills to learners, but finds even greater joy in seeing those skills put into practice and seeing students’ confidence grow as a result. She has worked at Columbia since August 2024, is a Columbia alumni who held various student leadership positions and worked as a TA, and she previously worked as an academic support assistant from 2021 to 2022. Her hope is that the students she works with come to enjoy the learning journey, not just succeed in it. When not researching for her thesis, Allison loves to read and write fiction, play soccer, and hang out with family and friends.
