RELS 144 Sermon on the Mount

This course will help students understand and apply the teachings of Jesus through a study of Matthew 5-7 in light of its historical, literary, and cultural contexts.  The focus will be on a careful literary and theological study of the Sermon on the Mount with the goal of understanding the text and applying it to the present context.
